For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Homeward Bound

I am so excited! Today is the day my handsome hubby comes home from skiing and I can't wait to see his sweet face!!
(This is the Valentine I made Eric...my last ditch effort to get him to write me love notes!! It worked! I had to document this amazing phenomenon!)

If this little joker is this happy to see Sassy after her trip to the vet I can't imagine how excited he'll be to see his daddy!!

Corndog Muffins

Ok, so I keep seeing all of these fantastic kid recipes on Pinterest, and since Eric is out of town I decided to try one last night! We made Corndog Muffins and they were a HUGE success. I even made a cheater version that simplified an already simple recipe...gotta love that!

Here's what I used:

1 package sweet yellow cornbread mix (prepare mix as stated-mine called for 1/2 a cup of milk and 1 egg)
2-3 hot dogs cut into pieces (I cut them super small so that my little guys could have them too!)

I mixed it all up, spooned it into a cupcake tin, and voila!! 17 minutes later we had Corndog Muffins!
Grace told me they were "so delicious." They were actually quite good...some people consider me a grown up and I even liked them! =)

Girls Night Out!!

Last night Karen and I got to go to the Lady Antebellum concert at the American Airlines Center! Thompson Square and Darius Rucker opened for them and both were so fantastic! Thompson Square is not a group I'm terribly familiar with, though I like their song, "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not?" They were great and fun to watch! On the other hand, I have loved Darius Rucker since his Hootie and the Blowfish days, but I love him WAY more now! He played some of his old stuff, some of his new stuff, Family Tradition AND Purple Rain! Phenomenal!!!!! He is an incredible performer!! Lady Antebellum was great too, don't get me wrong, but in my humble opinion Darius Rucker stole the show! We took a normal pic and a "silly" pic...of course the normal one is completely blurry. So then we attempted a self portrait:

My very favorite part of the show was when Lady A had Thompson Square and Darius Rucker back out and they jammed out to Funky Dixieland. INCREDIBLE!!!! Everyone sang along and it was impossible not to have a blast!

All the cell phones lit up while Lady A was performing:Karen proclaiming her undying love for Darius Rucker: We had SUCH a fantastic time!! Thanks to our sweet hubbies for sending us and to my in-laws for keeping my sweet angel babies!

Boys' Trip-Angel Fire

My husband, his brother Jeff, and his buddies, Steve and Shane took off for Angel Fire around 4:30 Thursday morning. The first text I got once they arrived was one that informed a tow truck was coming to tow them out of the snow: After that mishap, the trip apparently got better:

Shane, Steve, Jeff, and Eric...do you love Eric's Baylor coat??!

I can't wait for my man to come home, but I'm glad he's having a good time!

Valentine of Mine

I have the best, cutest, and most loveable Valentines ever! Grace woke us up early to exchange gifts and give us hugs and kisses. Love that girl! She took her adorable Valentines to school to exchange with her friends. We painstakingly unwrapped all of our old, dull crayons and melted them into hearts. The tag said, "For CRAYON out loud Be My Valentine!" They were so cute...I should have snapped a photo, but I forgot! Oops!
Me and my very favorite girl in the whole world!!

These sweet boys got to go to Grace's Valentines party too. They were angels and I was so proud of them!!
