After we had jumped in all the bounce houses and collected more than enough candy, we headed to Ole's with my parents and Eric's parents. By the time we got home, somebody was ready for a serious cat nap...
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Halloween 2009
Halloween is finally here! Ghosts, goblins, and witches are seen hurrying down the street...or flying as the case may be. There is also an abundance of black cats:
though I wouldn't mind this little black cat crossing my path...
Our little family Both sets of Grace's grandparents joined us for Halloween. We met at the house and then headed up to our church for Trunk or Treat.
Grace quickly found all of her superhero friends...you never know when you might need to be rescued!
Grace, Carson and Chase
Meow!
Grace and Jessie...I never could get them both to smile at the same time!
Grace and Karissa...I am in love with this photo of these sweet girls!

A Halloween Visit
Saturday we drove to Dallas to see the fabulous Wanda Marlowe. Grace made a fancy Halloween card for her and some cupcakes with a very liberal amount of sprinkles. (Grace thinks that the amount of sprinkles on something is directly related to the deliciousness of said item) We had so much fun visiting, and Mrs. Marlowe was thrilled to that my parents had come, too. Grace and Mrs. Marlowe sang and sang. Grace loves that Mrs. Marlowe knows all of her songs from church and school! I think they sang "Do Lord" at least five times...it's Grace's favorite.

Hot & Spicy
I am part of a vegetable co-op and I love it! Sometimes we get regular staple items, and sometimes we get 3 dozen jalapenos and a ton of tomatillos...
I have to say, we look a little tired after all that cooking!
Our sweet babies...they played so sweetly together all day!
When life gives you jalapenos and tomatillos, make salsa and pepper jelly!
My friends, Melissa & Christi, came over and we cooked for almost five hours! We made pickled jalapenos, tomatillo salsa, and my great-grandmother's recipe for jalapeno pepper jelly! We each took home this much!
Christi's hubby was out of town, so the Shortino's stayed for dinner. The girls decided to put on a little after dinner show for us:
Bunny Blues
Yesterday Grace did a little show off at dance class. They danced the "Bunny Blues" and a couple of other little fun dances for the parents.
